WGC vs. 9 other giving platforms
Card rate, ACH rate, and monthly platform fee — side by side, with sources, so you can see exactly where WGC stands before you switch.
| Platform | Card rate | ACH rate | Platform fee | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|---|
WGC | 2.3% + $0.25 (capped) | 25¢ flat | $10/mo | $0 to your org by default — supporters can cover the fee. Recurring charges add 0.1%. |
Tithe.ly | 2.9% + $0.30 (2.5% + $0.25 on Pro) | ~1% | $0–$119/mo | Free tier is a hosted form only; dashboards, reports, and the app need Pro. |
Pushpay | 2.9% + $0.30 | 1% + $0.30 | Quote-based, ~$200–1,475+/mo | No public pricing. Independent teardowns put a 1,500-member church near $17.7K/year before per-transaction fees. |
Givebutter | 2.9% + $0.30 | 2.9% + $0.30 | $0 (optional donor tip) | Free at the platform level, but funded by a tip prompt on every gift — effectively 3–5% when tips are included. |
Subsplash | 2.3%–2.99% + $0.30 | 1% | Quote-based, from ~$159/mo | Giving isn't sold standalone — it's bundled with app, website, and media hosting. |
Givelify | 2.9% + $0.30 (1.5% + $0.30 on Plus) | N/A | $0 ($99/mo for Plus) | No published ACH rate — donations are card/wallet-based. |
Donorbox | ~2.2% + $0.30 processor fee, plus a 2.95% platform fee (Standard) | Same stacked fee structure | $0–$150/mo | Two fees stack on every gift — the processor's cut and Donorbox's own platform cut. |
Planning Center Giving | 2.15% + $0.30 | $0.30 flat | $0–$239/mo (by donation volume) | Same processing rate for every tier, but the subscription climbs with how many donations you take. |
Vanco Faith | 2.9% + $0.45 (2.65% + $0.39 on Thrive) | 1% + $0.45 (0.9% + $0.39 on Thrive) | $0–$54/mo | ACH still carries a percentage on top of the flat fee, unlike a flat-rate ACH model. |
Breeze ChMS | ~2.9% + $0.30 | ~1% | ~$67–$119/mo | Giving rides along with its church-management bundle — now under Tithe.ly's ownership. |
Rates shown are each vendor's own published starting rates, or figures from recent independent teardowns, as of September 2026. The gap shows up most on bank transfers
Most of the table above charges a percentage on ACH, the same way it charges on cards. WGC charges a flat 25¢ instead — so the gap widens as the gift gets bigger.
vs. $5–$5.45 on a 1%-plus-fee platform

vs. $100–$100.45 on a 1%-plus-fee platform
Every point you don't pay in fees stays with the mission
A processing fee isn't a rounding error — it's taken out of every gift before it ever reaches a meal, a shelter bed, a tuition scholarship, or a mission trip. Take less off the top, and there's more left for the people your organization exists to serve. On $1.2M raised in a year, the gap between WGC's flat-rate model and a percentage-heavy platform runs about $18,400 — money that stays in your programs instead of leaving with your processor.

How does WGC's pricing compare to Tithe.ly, Pushpay, and Givebutter?
WGC caps card processing at 2.3% + $0.25 and charges a flat 25¢ per ACH transfer, for a $10/month platform fee. Tithe.ly, Pushpay, Givebutter, and most other platforms charge a percentage on ACH as well as cards — which costs meaningfully more as transfer size grows, since a percentage fee has no ceiling the way WGC's flat ACH rate does.
Is Givebutter actually free compared to WGC's $10/month fee?
Givebutter doesn't charge a monthly platform fee, but it funds itself through a tip prompt shown to the donor on every gift. Many donors leave a tip, which puts Givebutter's effective cost in a similar 3–5% range to platforms with a flat monthly fee — it's a different mechanism, not necessarily a lower total cost.
Why does ACH pricing vary so much between these platforms?
Some platforms (WGC, Planning Center Giving) charge a flat fee per ACH transfer, so the fee doesn't grow with the gift size. Others (Pushpay, Vanco, Donorbox, Givebutter) charge a percentage on ACH the same way they do on cards, which costs more in dollar terms on larger transfers — common for big tithes, capital campaign gifts, or stock/DAF-adjacent bank transfers.
Which of these platforms charge a separate monthly platform fee on top of transaction fees?
Most do. Tithe.ly, Pushpay, Subsplash, Planning Center Giving, Vanco, and Breeze ChMS all charge some form of recurring subscription in addition to per-transaction fees. Givebutter and Givelify's free tiers skip the subscription but recover revenue through donor tips or a paid upgrade tier (Givelify Plus) instead.
Does a lower processing fee actually help the people my organization serves?
Directly. Processing fees come out of every gift before it ever reaches a program or a person in need. On $500,000 raised in a year, the difference between a flat-rate platform and one charging an extra 1–2% on every dollar is $5,000–$10,000 — a meaningful program budget, not a rounding error. Choosing a lower, more transparent fee structure is itself a form of stewardship over the gifts donors have entrusted to the mission.
